Coronavirus (COVID-19) Update – 17/03/2020

Further to our previous update we have been closely monitoring the latest government guidelines. The Prime Minister announced yesterday that everyone in the UK should now avoid non-essential travel and contact with others. The advice from Government is that theatres should close.

As a result we have taken the decision to temporarily suspend all events at the Arts Centre. This isn’t a decision we have taken lightly, however we will continue to follow official guidance; the safety of all users/visitors/volunteers is our number one priority. That is always at the heart of our decision making.

Upcoming Shows:

We have currently postponed two upcoming shows with a view to reschedule for later in the year. These shows are:

Steffen Peddie – Ridiculous Man / Saturday 21st March
Wave Theatre present From Loch Ness with Love / 2nd, 3rd & 4th April

We will communicate the new dates for these shows as soon as possible. All tickets will be valid for the new dates and we hope you can join us then. If not refunds will be available by contacting boxoffice@seatondelavalartscentre.com. Please do bear with us for a response as we deal with the ongoing situation.

Weekly Classes:

All weekly classes and events are suspended at present. Please contact the organiser/organisation who run these sessions for further information.

Oliver Open Day and Auditions:

We have taken the tough decision to postpone the planned Open Day (21st March) and Auditions (28th March) for our summer production of Oliver. We are however not cancelling the production at this present time and will be reviewing the situation at the end of April to see if the production is still viable and potentially announce new dates for the Open Day and Auditions in May.

We greatly appreciate the support of our audiences at this testing and anxious time. Thank you for your continued support and loyalty and we look forward to welcoming you back to the Arts Centre soon.
