Packed with all the traditional panto fun, song and dances, its set to be a fantastic production of the classic story. The show takes place from Friday 1st – Saturday 9th December 2017 at the Seaton Delaval Arts Centre The society is looking for people to join our friendly organisation and audition for both principal/lead parts and talented young people to be part of our chorus of singers and dancers. Our motto is ‘An amateur society with professional standards’.

10th Anniversary Event – Saturday 24th June

Due to a number of logistical problems and feedback from our patrons and supporters, we have taken the difficult decision to change the format of our 10th Anniversary event on Saturday 24th June. Instead of a Gala Dinner evening we will now be holding a Party Night. The entertainment for the evening has stayed the same with local magician and compare Steve Keys, live 50’s and 60’s rock and roll music from Lewis Hill plus a disco to dance the night away. The main difference is that the three course dinner has been replaced by a tasty buffet instead.

The event still takes place on Saturday 24th June from 7.30pm and there is no dress code. The prices for tickets have been reduced in line with the food offering, with all tickets now at £12.00. We have contacted those who have previously booked to arrange a refund of the difference.

We apologise for this change and thank you for your continued patronage and support. We would love to see you on the 24th to join us in celebrating this fantastic milestone for our venue and Seaton Delaval. Tickets available online and from the Box Office on 0191 237 5460.

10th Anniversary Gala Dinner

Gala dinner

In the summer of 2007 a group of volunteers saved a rundown Salvation Army Hall which within a staggering 12 weeks was refurbished and reborn into a multipurpose arts venue. With the help of the entire cast and chorus of Aladdin carrying bricks, rubble and bits of timber whilst rehearsing and singing songs, plus amazing support from the local community and generous companies the venue was ready for the opening performance of Aladdin by the Seaton Delaval Pantomime Society in the December.

10 year’s later through a vast amount of changes and challenges, our venue continues to be a thriving community asset presenting a range of shows and events for all to enjoy. The whole operation is still ran entirely by volunteers, for the love of the arts. We’ve seen some spectacular performances take place over the years from live music to comedy, dance and drama all of which have been enjoyed by over 20,000 audience members.

Join us for a night of celebration as we mark our 10th Anniversary with a spectacular Gala Dinner. Including a drinks reception, delicious three course meal, speeches and live entertainment, we invite all our patrons, supporters, volunteers and friends to help us celebrate this milestone in style with a night to remember! Black Tie dress code with carriages at 11pm.

Tickets are available only via the Box Office on 0191 237 5460 or by emailing info@seatondelavalartscentre.com

#REACH Project – Touring in the North East

We were delighted to be one of nine partner venues in the #REACH project which ran from April 2014 to December 2016 and toured nine high-quality, contemporary theatre productions to eight venues across the north east including ours.

We welcomed some fantastic shows, grew our audience tenfold and our volunteers gained so many new skills and knowledge along with a wide network of other venue staff to share idea’s and ask advice. All of this was made possible by Arts Council England funding and the amazing #REACH team from ARC Stockton and DepArts. A huge thank you to everyone who made the project possible. We’ve already seen a lasting legacy with one contemporary show already on sale and more to be booked throughout the year.

Check out his great PDF giving a summary of the three year project.
